About Us
Located in Hooolehua, Puukapele Homestead is an 'ohana rooted farm grounded in generations of aloha aina. This 'aina provides fertile ground for growing traditional crops, restoring native species, and practicing sustainable living. The homestead sits on ancestral lands once abundant with kalo (taro), ulu (breadfruit), and uala (sweet potato), and continues to reflect those values of abundance, self-reliance, and care for the land.
Practices
Raised and rooted in the land, I’ve worked hands-on with my ʻāina (land) since a young age, cultivating a deep understanding of traditional and sustainable farming practices. My upbringing instilled a strong work ethic and respect for natural cycles, emphasizing the importance of caring for the soil, water, and native plants. From planting and harvesting to restoring and stewarding the land, my experience is grounded in mālama ʻāina — nurturing the land as it nurtures us.
